Danafar leaned against the old Abbey ruins and slid down the rough stonework, coming to rest at the bottom and remained unmoving, half-sitting, half-lying. It must have been a pleasant place once. Now it was just an empty shell of what it used to be. If he bothered to explore, he was sure he'd find something of interest, old tomes, books and other now worthless scatterings not worth picking up.
He ripped up a handful of dried grass and threw it into the air, vaguely wondering where it would all land. He slung off his quiver and threw it next to his bow. An unwise move perhaps, but it didn't really matter to him anymore. He'd snatch it up again twice as fast as he had dropped it if he heard something. He also removed the sheath that his sword lay in from his belt and placed it next to his other weapons. There was no point being heavily armed when all you were doing was sitting down and watching the leaves on the trees dance to the rhythm of the breeze.
If Danafar had looked closely at the place, it could have struck him as quiet beautiful, and the ruins only adding to its majesty. It wasn't too hot, nor too cold, and it was quiet. Deadly quiet. This didn't go unnoticed though, Van Allan knew exactly what happened when everything fell silent and when people dropped their guard because of it.
He didn't care about the risks, or the rules. For once he just wanted it all to melt away and leave no trace of what was there before. That way everyone would be care-free, instead of being forever worrisome about whether they would be next, or turned, or attacked, or ripped apart. The list seemed to run on forever, and it was tiresome knowing that it would go on for as long as forever, and longer than that even.

Saphira was alone once more, padding quietly through the forest towards the abbey ruins in her hybrid form. She was troubled and had made her excuses to the pack, dissapearing into the woods. News had come from the capital of the discovery of her uncle's bodies. Even if they were from her mother's side of the family, it hadn't neessarily meant that she wasn't affected by this news.
But it was the way they she had been told they were killed that was troubling her. Apparently ripped to shreds with strange symbols gouged into their cheeks-such a shocking way to die... Coming upon the abbey ruins; the location for the beginnings of many a lycan hunt-and the hunts of her own pack-she sniffed the air, various scents assailing her nostrils. Lycans, hybrids, terrified humans and animals alike... With so much on her mind, she leapt onto a large rock that had probably once been a part of the abbey's wall, not noticing the fresher scent of a human nearby...

Danafar didn't like to admit that he was beginning to fall asleep in the serene clearing adorned with an occasional rock or old slab fallen from the roof of the Abbey. Being blamed as a prime suspect for a few murders that were extremely odd, wasn't the way he would have liked to spend the day. He didn't give it all much thought, and let the doctors and experts discover the killer. He refused to tie himself up with something like that. It had nothing to do with him, and so he obviously wouldn't express an interest in it.
Danafar heard something, but he couldn't place it, but it sounded big. Too big to be small game. He kept still, incase it had sensed him. No doubt he'd already been found out. All types of creatures wandered here. Lycans, Vampires, those Hybrids that were always the talk of the town. He grabbed his sword and pulled it closer to him, as well as his bow and quiver. He notched an arrow into the ash bow and pulled it taut, anything that moved, he would fire at.

Saphira found herself pacing back and forth, mind working overtime on what she and her brother could do to try and discover the identity of their uncle's murderer. As much as she hated the idea, she was going to have to go and see her mother to try and find out what the hell had been going on in Oaklea, the last place she really wanted to be right now.
Hearing a noise somewhere to her right, Saphira's head shot up with an overly loud growl in the direction of the noise. How had she not noticed that there was a -she sniffed the air-human near by? Despite the alliance they shared with the humans, many were still fearful of the strength they posessed, being able to transform relatively fluidly and at will. She jumped from her perch and landed on the moss covered stone that had once been the abbey floor with a soft thud, taking a few steps in the direction of the human. She stopped suddenly; what the hell was she doing? The human could be armed for all she knew and yes, she may have the strength of two of the most powerful vampire and lycan bloodlines running through her veins but still, facing an armed human on her own was probably not a particularly clever idea...

There was no doubt in Danafar's mind that there was something out there, as he had heard a low, rumbling growl, and that had confirmed his fears. He pulled the string on his bow tighter and suddenly realized that he was still half sitting on the ground. He picked himself up without losing any strength that would help with the shot that he knew he was going to let fly. It certainly wasn't a Lycan, or a Vampire. A Hybird, far too obvious for a closer observation. He saw it approach in the corner of his eye. He admired the creature suddenly, it was a sight, and not an ugly one, like the bats that stalked around, or the huge drooling wolves that crashed about.
He had the arrow point facing dead ahead, even though the hybrid was to the left of him. If he gave it the impression that maybe he hadn't seen it, it might give him an edge if he was going to attack. For some reason though, he didn't suddenly turn and let an arrow embed itself into the creature. He loosened the string and threw the arrow back into its quiver, dropping the bow. He put his hands up in a sort of surrender and turned to face the approaching hybrid, a confident grin on his features.

Saphira watched, eyes full of curiosity, as the human got to his feet, bow in hand. She made no move to try and run away. It intregued her greatly as to why one of the humans was out in the forest, what with night and a full moon rapidly approaching. The lycans would probably be out here soon enough and she would have to go and see her father to see whether or not he was actually going to allow them to rescue their hunt victims.
As the man loosened the bowstring and raised his hands in a half surrender, face confident as he grinned, Saphira decided to change back, her jacket, corset and other clothes seemingly melting from beneath her black pelt, wings shrinking back into her shoulderblades.
"What is a human doing in the forest so close to nightfall?" she asked, unable to hold back a slightly teasing smirk, "There will be lycans roaming freely once the sun has gone down"

After that impressive transformation from winged wolf to beautiful girl, Danafar was slightly astounded and couldn't find the right words for a few seconds, his mind searching for them. No wonder he never thought the hybrids as the same creatures as the Lycans and the Vampires, just a little worse. Now he could see all of the elegance that came with shifting like a vampire but retaining a good-looking specimen of a wolf form, like a slim Lycan.
"You tell me what a human could be doing in the forest close to nightfall," he answered her finally, after a pause teasing her right back. He hoped that he wasn't playing the hard-to-get prey. He had never before encountered a hybrid, and he had heard only little of the alliance. He thought that it had fallen to pieces, like all alliances do. "I don't worry about Lycans," he added with a deft smile.

"You tell me what a human could be doing in the forest close to nightfall""Hmm" she smirked, leaning back against the wall behind her and folding her arms across her chest, "Well, there's the possibilty that you've decided to go against the Hunt Laws and come out here hunting a vampire or a lycan, not hybrids seing as none of the members of my pack would ever dare harm a human" she paused briefly, "Or you don't really feel like you fit in living in one of the villages under the rule of a vampire who have a pack of lycans at their beck and call. I could be wrong of course..." "I don't worry about Lycans""Neither do I" Saphira grinned OOC-Good lord, Saphira is turning into a right arrogant little thing!

"Or, a human might be out in the forest so close to nightfall, because maybe he wants to be," Danafar replied with a sarcastic smile. He hated to be rude to someone he had only just met, but he was just returning a teasing answer in the same tone that she had spoken in. She didn't seem the type to mind. He preferred not to answer telling her that he had been disobeying the rules on occasion and hated living under anyone, especially hateful blood-sucking Vampires with nothing better to do than act like they rule everything that their bloodshot eyes see.
"Of course you don't worry about Lycans, I on the other hand, should, but don't either," he added after a brief pause, returning the grin. She seemed a nice type for an outcast hybrid.

Fang had not beleived Saphiras excuse to leave. She probaly just needed to think over her uncles deaths is all, but Fang was getting worried like usual. He decided just checking up on her was fine, she wouldent even know he was there. He followed her scent to the Domestar Abbey. He also smelled a human. A human here at this time, the lycans would be out soon. He soon got close enough to hear they were talking, hopefully he could listen in without Saphira smelling him, even though deep in his mind he knew she would.
"Of course you dont worry about lycans, I on the other hand, should but dont either,"
cocky human, that attitude was going to get him killed. He took a peek at the human, he saw he had a bow, arrows and a sword. He better not try anything.

Danafar saw some sort of movement in the undergrowth just outside the clearing. He looked up and there was an arrow in his bow already. He let it fly and it whistled into the bushes. He waited to hear a thud and a yell, or any sort of noise, but his shot hadn't been accurate. He'd have been lucky to have hit anything except a tree with that one.
"I thought I saw something..." he muttered, mostly to himself. He dropped his bow and made a mental note to remember to go and pick up the stray arrow before he left. He wondered if the something-or-other that he had shot at was a Lycan, or maybe even one of the female's own kind. That wouldn't turn out well, if he had hit a hybrid. He'd have to run, but he doubted he'd get away even a few metres before...
He crouched and grabbed the hilt of the sword that had been lying lazily on the grass for the past hour or so. If something came crashing out of the trees, he'd be more than ready.

The arrow had grazed Fangs shoulder and hit a tree. Fang looked at his shoulder, it was bleeding, just a little. Now he was sure he couldent hide, so he spoke. "damn you human, blindly shooting before you know what your shooting at." He said emerging from his hiding spot. He looked at Saphira and then the human.
"You must be crazy to be out here at nightfall human, the lycans will be out soon, I wouldent be surprised if we saw one right this moment come crashing out of the trees." Fang said calmly. He was sure he or Saphira would easily be able to take out a lycan but what if he and Saphira werent here. What if more than one lycan came. This human would be in trouble.

"I can handle Lycans," Danafar stated bluntly, throwing the sword down onto the grass again. He raised an eyebrow when he saw that he had actually hit the other hybrid, badly, but it had still hit. The whole thing was starting to get a little strange. Two hybrids here all of a sudden, when before it was only himself and the owls.
He smiled, he could see that he was annoying the male hybrid already. Humans weren't exactly the most popular of beings. Clumsy, weak and stupid. He didn't want to give that impression. He could hold his ground just as well as any other creature. That made him a little arrogant at times, but he didn't want to be thought of as vulnerable and always in need of protection. "Sorry about that too, good shot though..." he added, pointing a spare arrow that he had picked out of its quiver at the Hybrid's shoulder.
