Aiden decided to visit the lake. Why? He didn't know. Bit of fun probably. He knew it was close to the hybrid camp. He knew he might get torn apart. But Aiden never learnt to stay away from trouble. He purposefully went out in search for it. In the last couple of weeks, the addrenilinn had been in constant flow around his body. But recently there had been no excitement. No jewels to steal. No men to back chat. No women to flirt with. No wives to seduce. He was stuck just sitting there twiddling his tumbs.
He sat himself down right next to the waters edge and dipped a finger in it. The ripples spread to the edges of the lake and splashed against the sides. He smiled at the dark water as he watched his reflection shine in it. He could see the moon reflecting on it too. The sounds of the night sang all around him. Owls hooting. Crickets singing. Leaves rustling. Wind whispering sweet nothings in his ear. Night was always so peaceful. Aiden never knew what day was like. He had experienced evening and sunset. But he slept during most of sunlight.
Aiden collapsed back onto the grass. It was wet with dew already, but he didn't care. The damp made his pale skin cooler than the biting wind already did. He let his fangs rest on his lips. The white stood out from the pink of his lip. His eyes were rimmed by thick black eyeliner and his hair matched the black flopped over his dark hazel eyes. His nails were also painted black that went nicely with the tattoos that lined his knuckles. He had stayed away from the black lipstick today. He rolled up his sleeves to reveal his heavily tattoed arms and sighed. Still no excitement. He sighed again and closed his eyes.
